OPI Dulce De Leche

Hey guys!

This month I have been loving this new addition to my nail varnish collection - Dulce De Leche by OPI.

I started a new job at the very beginning of this month and I was after a nude-ish, feminine, professional office appropriate nail colour to pull my work outfits together and keep me looking smart while I am making my first impressions, and in my opinion this nail varnish nails it! (Sorry.)

With the always fab OPI brush and thick formula, this nail varnish is fab for a mid week nude.
What's your favourite nude? Any fab OPI recommendations for me?

Winter Jumpers & Christmassy Nails

So while doing my Christmas shopping this year during the cold snap we had a few weeks ago, I may or may not have bought myself a few treats too...

pink jumper - Primark

cream jumper - Primark

Peace earrings - New Look
Collar necklace - Primark

pink stone ring - Primark
gold spike necklace - Primark

(l - r) Jo Is In The House Nail Polish - H&M
SLE 2012 - Barry M
Snowflakes - Models Own
Red Glitter - Barry M
Stick on Gems - Primark

I was in serious need of comfy, warm jumpers, and not so much the other bits!! But I am loving all the Christmassy nail varnishes and will definitely be rocking festive nails over the coming weeks until Christmas Day! I'm thinking of experimenting with the holographic glitter polish from H&M and the Primark gems for an OTT New Years nail look...

Have you picked up any bits for yourself while shopping for others? We're all guilty of this! (I hope!!)

No 7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour

Just a mini blog post to say - HOW Christmassy and fab is this nail colour! I love it!

This is a nail polish by No 7, its called Salsa and it is a deep red, with a kind of metallic finish. I wore this while putting up my Christmas tree this weekend and felt super Christmassy!!

Have you put your tree up yet? Are you excited for Christmas?

Glamour Magazine Nails Inc freebies!

So as I'm sure most people are already aware, Glamour magazine are spoiling us with a give away of four shades of Nails Inc nail varnish!

I am a BIG Nails Inc fan, I have always found the formula to be thick and gorgeously pigmented, and it dries shiny and looks super glam. Because of this, at £2 for the magazine AND the nail varnish, I may or may not have picked up a few....

L-R Elizabeth Street, St. James and Motcomb Street

Elizabeth Street - one of the most beautiful pale pinks I've come across, and I have definitely used a few!!

St James is a classic, classy rich red. It's gorgeous! I am constantly on the hunt for a truly great red nail varnish which looks classy and goes with my skin tone, and this is definitely a contender!

Motcomb Street - a deep dark blue. I am not really a fan of blue nail varnish, I don't know why but I just don't like it, and if I were going to choose a dark shade as an alternative to black it would almost always be a deep deep red (such as this!). With that said, this is a truly fab dark blue - it is super super dark and dries glossy and glam.

I have to say, I think these shades are completely gorgeous and Elizabeth Street and St. James have definitely become my go-to classy pale pink and red shades!

Did you pick up Glamour this month and get any of these Nails Inc nail varnishes?

MUA Nail Constellations - Gemini

I found this little container of loveliness while I was idly browing beauty blogs this summer.

MUA Nail Constellations are a dupe for Ciate Nail Caviar, which I have really wanted to try for a while now, but at the price they are couldn't really justify spending that much for a nail experiment! Thats why MUA's version is perfect - the little bottles are only £3 from Superdrug or the MUA store.

MUA describes their Nail Constellations as: inspired by the patterns formed into stars in the earth's night sky is a 3-dimensional extravagant nail art system you can create easily from home that leave your nails looking ‘wow!’.

The little jars are themed by the signs of the Zodiac, (l - r)

Gemini, Leo, Pisces, Scorpio, and Libra

I picked up Gemini, which is a lilac, baby pink and mint green formulation - gorgeous!

I used it with Rimmel's 60 Seconds nail varnish in Do You Lilac It?

The finished product:

I think it looks fab! It makes a nice change from a simple one shade manicure and is my first dabble into nail art! I want to try the shades Scorpio and Libra too!

Rumple's Wiggin'

Now, I'm not proud of this, but...

It is a cold, rainy evening and I am a bit coldy and sniffly so am under a blanket with the fire on, watching rubbish TV. So I was just idly flicking channels when I came across an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and tuned in for a bit, in an attempt to see what on earth the fuss is about. (That was the bit I'm not proud of.)

All I heard was drama drama drama cigarettes botox and I was just about to change the channel when I saw IT - the most amazing vibrant lilac nail varnish I have ever seen!

It was adorning the nails of Khloe Kardashian (my favourite one I think!) and after a swift Google, I discovered that it is... OPI Rumple's Wiggin'.

I NEED!

This gorgeous creme shade is part of the Shrek 'Shrek Forever After' collection.

It is now my mission to purchase this and try it out!

Rouge Noir (On a budget!)

Now it is Autumn/Winter I have said goodbye to all my pastel nail colours and have moved on to gorgeous dark, moody Autumnal shades. Today's nail colour is Red Black (115) by Barry M.

I love, love, love this colour, so much so that it is the only nail varnish I have ever purchased twice! It is beautifully dark and sultry and really glams up your nails while also giving you a slightly edgy look.

I used about 3 coats to get this wonderfully dark, rich colour - with one or two coats to me it is not Red Black, more of a dark deep raspberry, which is nice, but I wear this for the moody black effect. I top this of with some Seche Vite and ta da! Gorgeous Autumn Nails.

Next weekend I am working at Bristol Day of the Dead Festival and this seems the perfest shade for the Dia de los Muertos/ Sugar Skull theme, so I will definitely be rocking it again!
